Job summary

Stanford Cancer Institute is hiring a Cancer Clinical Research Coordinator Associate (Head and Neck Oncology) with a hybrid working arrangement. You will manage data, enroll patients on trials, and assist with regulatory and financial aspects of studies.

The role reports to the Senior Cancer Clinical Research Manager and requires strong communication skills, initiative, and flexibility to handle a fast-paced research environment. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of clinical research principles and federal regulations.
• Familiarity with IRB guidelines and regulations.
• Previous experience with clinical trials.
• Certification from SCRA or ACRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact with research participants, sponsors, and regulatory agencies. Coordinate studies from start-up through closeout.
• Determine eligibility and obtain consent per protocol; assist in developing recruitment strategies.
• Coordinate collection of study specimens and processing.
• Collect and manage patient and laboratory data; maintain study databases and documents.
• Ensure compliance with protocols; prepare regulatory submissions and IRB renewals.
• Assemble study kits, monitor scheduling and charges; attend sponsor meetings as primary contact.
• Monitor expenditures and adherence to study budgets; resolve billing issues with finance.
• Interact with the principal investigator regularly to ensure patient safety and proper conduct.
• Ensure essential documentation is recorded in proper files per regulatory requirements.
• Participate in monitor visits and regulatory audits.

Two-year college degree plus two years related experience or Bachelor’s degree in related field
