Job summary

Nationwide Technical Search seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer & CAM Specialist in Calera, AL to bridge offline CAD/CAM programming with direct floor execution. The role involves end-to-end process development, CAD translation, and mentoring operators on large turning and milling equipment.

The position is onsite with relocation assistance and full benefits. 5+ years machining plus 3+ years CAM required; SolidCAM and SolidWorks experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on machining with turning and CNC operations.
• 3+ years CAM programming and fixture design.
• Experience with large-diameter castings, valve components or heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Translate CAD files and develop optimized 2D/3D CNC programs for multi-axis machines.
• Prove out machining processes and edit programs on machine or offline.
• Design tooling, fixtures and setup sheets; train operators on procedures.
• Set up CNCs for high-mix, low-volume production and improve throughput.
