Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a CAE Durability Engineer to lead structural and fatigue simulations, including road load analyses and modal transients. You will correlate virtual results with physical data, perform root-cause studies, and support design & release teams to resolve durability issues.

The role requires 10+ years in CAE, deep knowledge of fatigue principles, and expertise with HyperMesh, NASTRAN, Abaqus, and fatigue tools. This is a hybrid position based in Michigan, Dearborn area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in CAE, with a preference for fatigue analysis.
• Knowledge of material science, fatigue principles including stress-life and strain-life, and structural mechanics.
• Knowledge of finite element methods.
• Expertise in linear and nonlinear implicit and explicit analyses.
• Experience with CAE durability and fatigue analysis.
• Experience with HyperMesh and CAD/meshing tools.
• Proficiency with ANSA, HyperMesh; FEA solvers NASTRAN, OptiStruct, Abaqus; Fatigue tools nCode, FeSafe, Fdynam; CAD Teamcenter, 3DX; Post-processing HyperWorks.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and fatigue simulations involving road loads.
• Perform modal transient analysis.
• Conduct root cause analyses to confirm design solution effectiveness against KPIs.
• Correlate virtual analysis results with physical data.
• Communicate analysis results with Design & Release teams.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fatigue tools.
• Support problem solving for quality and warranty issues and TVMs.
• Maintain awareness of issues across CAE groups and internal standards.
• Work on special CAE projects and initiatives.
