Job summary
A. O. Smith Corp. in Lebanon, TN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor-CAD to lead the CAD/PLM team and manage drawings, 3D models, and the engineering Change Process.
You will supervise CAD operators, mentor staff, coordinate with other departments, and ensure compliance with drafting standards while supporting budget and project schedules.
Hybrid work setup with competitive compensation and benefits; Associate degree in CAD/design required with 5+ years of related experience.
Qualifications
- Two-year degree in CAD, Design or equivalent science degree.
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
- 2-3 years of Supervisory/Leadership experience.
- Working knowledge of CAD Data Management and PLM systems.
- Direct experience with SolidWorks and/or SAP PLM is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Act as a super user for CAD/PMD/PLM software solutions within the Engineering department.
- Directly assist and train CAD team members on CAD software solutions.
- Assist in managing the Product Change Process (PCP) through resource assignment and drawings review.
- Supervise CAD Operators and Designers, set schedules and priorities.
- Mentor CAD team on modeling, dimensioning, and tolerancing techniques.
