Job summary

System One in Rockville, MD, seeks a C#/.NET Software Engineer to join the hybrid team (onsite 2 days/week). You will develop enterprise software for cancer clinical trials and research, leveraging Azure, microservices, and RESTful APIs.

The role emphasizes scalable, well-tested code and collaboration in an Agile SCRUM environment. Applicants should have 6+ years of software development, strong communication, and a degree in a technical field.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience in one or more programming languages and with data structures/algorithms.
• Experience coding in C#/.NET, Python, Java, or comparable languages.
• Experience building enterprise software in Azure cloud with services like Azure Container Apps, AKS, Functions, Queue Storage, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, API Management, and Cosmos DB variants.
• Experience developing with ORM libraries such as SQLAlchemy.
• Experience developing microservices with RESTful API and/or gRPC.
• Experience in an agile environment (SCRUM or Kanban).
• Experience using Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
• Azure Fundamentals or Associate certification.
• Bachelor or Graduate degree in a technical field.

Responsibilities

• Manage individual task priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Develop scalable, reliable, and performant enterprise software systems and services.
• Write well-tested and maintainable code with unit, integration, and BDD tests.
• Contribute to architecture diagrams, API docs, and SOPs.
• Participate in SCRUM sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work in a CI/CD SCRUM environment across tiers.
• Mentor junior team members and shadow seniors during interviews.
• Be proactive in improving engineering practices.
