Job summary

Emergent Staffing, LLC seeks a Software Engineer to develop and support enterprise applications on the Microsoft stack. This hands-on role will build and enhance core platform services, microservices, and shared libraries, collaborating with senior engineers to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions.

The position is a 6+ month contract-to-hire with a hybrid schedule, onsite Tuesday through Thursday in the West suburbs of Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience with ASP.NET Core.
• Production experience with SQL Server and Azure.
• Exposure to microservices architectures.
• Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork.
• Willingness to work onsite long-term.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications and microservices.
• Build features within core platform apps and shared NuGet packages.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement designs.
• Write clean, well-documented code with performance and reliability focus.
• Participate in code reviews and planning.
• Develop and maintain automated tests.
• Support deployments and releases via CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot production issues.
• Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements.
