Job summary

GCG Custom Engineered Solutions seeks a Buyer at our Leominster, MA facility to plan and purchase raw materials for cable assembly operations. Hybrid role based in Leominster with in-office collaboration. You’ll coordinate demand signals, execute POs, and maintain inventory to meet production needs.

You’ll work with internal teams and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery while controlling costs and lead times. Requires a bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of manufacturing procurement experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, buyer, or materials planning in manufacturing.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle strongly preferred).
• Strong understanding of material planning, inventory control, and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders from requisition through receipt, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Procure raw materials, MRO, and services at optimal cost, quality, and lead time.
• Monitor open orders and manage delivery schedules to prevent shortages or disruptions.
• Review MRP outputs in Oracle to plan and maintain inventory levels.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships and participate in supplier performance reviews.
