Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Business Controls Advisor to partner with leaders across the organization to identify risks, enhance controls, and drive solutions that improve performance and reduce risk. The role includes participation on an Incident Management Team and a rotating on-call schedule for emergency activations.

The position emphasizes governance, risk management, and the development of executive-level reports and dashboards to support decisions.

Qualifications

Seven or more years of experience implementing policies, processes, controls, and system improvements.
Experience with SOX, risk management, compliance, audit, governance, or operational excellence preferred.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SharePoint.

Responsibilities

Review monitoring plan gaps and strengthen operations controls to reduce risk.
Implement business controls policies, standards, or procedures.
Optimize internal controls and reporting efficiency.
Develop financial models for financings and partnerships, incl. due diligence support.
Identify gaps and implement strategies to address them.
Provide ongoing monitoring and analysis of performance vs. budget with forecast adjustments.
