Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Building Automation Engineering Supervisor to lead a Systems Engineering team. The role coordinates with Engineering and Project Management to deliver on-time configuration and connection activities, ensuring customer expectations are met.

This hybrid position requires travel between branch locations and offers collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Execution teams to optimize costs and schedules.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school.
• 3+ years of engineering or project management experience in support of building automation (HVAC).
• 1+ years of experience supervising teams.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and business software systems.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
• Occasional travel will be required for team gatherings, project kick-offs, or training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor the System Engineering team through goal setting, performance monitoring, and training scheduling.
• Schedule and assign engineering tasks to the team.
• Ensure schedules are maintained and projects proceed according to plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Supervise and ensure quality submittal preparation, labor plans, site walks, and re-estimates.
• Implement engineering productivity tools and practices to increase team quality and productivity.
• Coordinate engineering priorities with Project Management to achieve on-time submittals.
• Maintain relationships among Sales, Engineering, and Execution teams to minimize costs and delays.
• Support project profitability through cost-containment procedures.
• Travel between branch locations as needed.
