Job summary

Buffalo Toronto Public Media is seeking a Broadcast Systems Engineer to operate, maintain, troubleshoot and integrate broadcast and broadcast IT systems supporting radio and TV operations. This role blends remote and in-office work.

You will install and support AoIP, streaming, automation software (ENCO, Marketron, NPR Composer), manage networked equipment, document configurations, and assist IT with broadcast infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of progressive broadcast engineering experience.
• Ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot broadcast systems.
• Working knowledge of IP networking, VLANs, routing, and switches.
• Experience with AoIP and network-connected broadcast systems.
• Familiarity with radio automation and digital content delivery.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and integrate broadcast IT systems.
• Support radio automation, AoIP, streaming, and IP-based equipment.
• Install, configure, test, document, and maintain hardware/software.
• Support network infrastructure and IT coordination for reliability.
• Provide technical assistance to staff and on-call support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with FCC rules and industry standards.
