Job description

POPS ABA

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) | Hybrid

Full-Time W-2 or Part-Time 1099

Position Overview

POPs ABA NC LLC is seeking compassionate, clinically skilled Board Certified Behavior Analysts to provide individualized, evidence-based applied behavior analysis (ABA) services in North Carolina. This hybrid opportunity combines remote clinical responsibilities with in-person services in client homes and other approved settings. Candidates may pursue full-time W-2 employment or part-time 1099 independent contractor opportunities.

Employment Options

  • Full-Time W-2: Hybrid schedule, assigned caseload, organizational support, and billable expectations established in the employment offer; applicable benefits as offered.
  • Part-Time 1099: Contracted clinical services, flexible availability and caseload arrangements consistent with the independent contractor agreement; compensation at agreed contract rates.
  • Both options require in-person availability as clinically necessary and as required by applicable payer policies.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments, reassessments, functional behavior assessments, and direct clinical observations.
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans, measurable goals, and behavior intervention plans based on data and medical necessity.
  • Provide clinical supervision, modeling, performance feedback, and protocol modifications for behavior technicians and RBTs.
  • Deliver caregiver training and collaborate with families and authorized interdisciplinary partners.
  • Monitor progress, treatment integrity, and service effectiveness; adjust programming as clinically indicated.
  • Prepare timely, accurate treatment reports, clinical notes, supervision documentation, and authorization-related materials.
  • Maintain ethical practice, confidentiality, and compliance with North Carolina licensure, BACB standards, and applicable payer requirements.

Hybrid Work Expectations

Remote work may include treatment planning, data review, documentation, team meetings, and telehealth services when clinically appropriate and authorized. In-person services may include assessments, direct observations, supervision, and caregiver training. The mix of remote and in-person work depends on client needs, service location, and payer requirements; hybrid does not mean fully remote.

Required Qualifications

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing and an active North Carolina behavior analyst license (or ability to obtain before providing clinical services).
  • Master’s degree or higher in behavior analysis or a related field.
  • Competence in ABA assessment, treatment planning, clinical supervision, and data-based decision-making.
  • Strong communication, organization, documentation, and professional judgment.
  • Ability to travel to assigned client locations and maintain a secure remote workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with home-based ABA, North Carolina Medicaid and commercial payers, CentralReach or similar clinical systems, standardized assessments (including Vineland-3), and clients with complex behavioral needs.

Why Join POPs ABA?

Flexible hybrid opportunities, accessible clinical leadership, a collaborative team, clinical autonomy within quality standards, and the opportunity to help expand individualized ABA services across North Carolina.
