Job summary

Workshop/APD is seeking a full-time BIM Specialist with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to develop and manage BIM models in Revit. You will support the BIM manager, work with architectural project teams, and drive BIM workflows. Advanced Revit and AutoCAD proficiency is required.

You will contribute to project documentation, education initiatives, and firmwide standards while mentoring junior users and coordinating BIM assets across the office.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or Design required.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience as a BIM operator or CAD Drafter or similar role.
• Experience developing BIM families, workflows and processes.
• Understanding construction materials, building assemblies, case work and building products required.
• Ability to work well with others, take direction, and work independently.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, Sketchup and other 3D modeling tools.
• Rendering capabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support development of architectural drawings in coordination with project teams and design requirements.
• Manage Revit library content including creating and modifying parametric Revit families and updating Revit templates as required.
• Produce highly detailed BIM models and construction documents.
• Support BIM related efforts throughout the office including education initiatives and standards implementation.
• Streamline and economize Revit templates, models and assets.
• Coordinate existing Revit assets and provide future roadmap for development.
• Assist in project delivery as needed.
• Mentor, train and align intermediate and junior Revit users.
• Monitor and support the use of streamlined BIM protocols across the firm.
