Job summary

The Washington State Housing Finance Commission is recruiting for a full-time, permanent Business Intelligence Specialist in the Information Technology Division. The role focuses on designing and maintaining automated document workflows and BI solutions, with a strong emphasis on data management and records compliance.

The position requires leading BI projects, integrating tools with enterprise systems, and delivering training while ensuring secure and compliant records handling.

Qualifications

• Configuring, maintaining, and integrating tier-one apps, databases, and data warehouses.
• Analyze user requirements to design, build, and deploy front-end BI apps.
• Experience with relational database structures and design tools.
• Knowledge of full project lifecycle from inception to execution.
• Provide effective IT system and software support.
• Familiarity with public information requests and related workflows.
• Commitment to learning and adapting to a changing IT environment.
• Customer-service oriented collaboration across the Commission.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage BI projects and implement new BI tools.
• Integrate BI platforms with enterprise systems.
• Develop semantic layer, metadata, reports, and definitions.
• Analyze user requirements to design specifications.
• Deliver end-user training and provide ongoing support.
• Promote BI usage across divisions.
• Implement electronic records integration with portals and repositories.
• Establish policies to keep electronic records secure and compliant.
• Retain and dispose of official records.
• Evaluate tools and stay current with industry developments.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
