Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (AZ Blue) is hiring for a data/BI professional operating in a hybrid role within Arizona. The position spans Level 1 through Level 4 responsibilities, including analysis, data modeling, and reporting across BI project management, production reporting, and datamarts.

Responsibilities cover end-to-end data workflows, from requirements to documentation, testing, and maintenance, with a focus on SQL, ETL, and OLAP technologies.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in computer technology and/or information systems (Level 1) or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in computer technology and/or information systems (Levels 2 - 4) preferred.
• 2 years of experience in data management and report analysis, design or development (Levels 2 - 4) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, track, and resolve processing problems; coordinate with all areas.
• Track and resolve programming problems and develop documentation.
• Develop and document business objectives, processing requirements, and specifications.
• Develop test plans, scripts, and test bases.
• Map logical data models to physical data models.
• Review code for design, standards, content, and functionality.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions with knowledge of BI tools (SQL, ETL, OLAP).
• Provide support across BI project management, production reporting, and datamarts.
