Progressive is seeking a claims adjuster specialist in Tigard, OR. This hybrid role involves managing attorney-represented bodily injury claims, determining coverage and liability, negotiating with attorneys, and settling claims with support from a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates will have experience handling claims independently, evaluating liability and damages, and coordinating with attorneys to reach resolutions, while reporting to meetings about four days per month.

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• Associate's degree and three years relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• Bachelor's degree and one year in claims handling.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Determines coverage and liability.
• Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys.
• Settle claims and set reserves.
• Estimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents.
• Analyze and interpret medical reports, follow-up with no-fault parties, and manage claims process to ensure efficient resolution.
• Interview, collect and document information from claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police.
