Job summary

Gainor Staffing is seeking a Benefits & Wellness Assistant to support employees in a prestigious law firm environment. You will manage health, retirement, and wellness program inquiries, guide enrollment, and ensure accurate records with HRIS tools like UKG and financial systems like Chrome River.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, confidentiality, and excellent communication in a fast-paced, hybrid setting. A bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of benefits experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1–2 years of benefits support, ideally in a professional services setting.
• Experience navigating HRIS platforms like UKG.
• Strong data organization and record-keeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Clear communication, time management, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Discretion with sensitive information.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and flexible for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Support employees and families with questions about health, retirement and wellness programs.
• Coordinate annual enrollment and guide staff through the process.
• Prepare documentation for terminations, COBRA, and retirement transitions.
• Track eligibility for retirement plans and send reminders for enrollment and beneficiary updates.
• Process invoices and benefit-related transactions using Chrome River and UKG.
• Assist with leave of absence paperwork and track disability, FMLA, and other life events.
• Update payroll systems with benefit changes, contributions, and loan details.
• Enter wire transfers and support payroll-related benefit updates.
• Serve as a backup to the Senior Benefits Specialist.
