Job summary

Mission Pet Health is seeking a Benefits Specialist to administer teammates’ benefit programs and provide accurate, timely support across medical, dental, vision, life, and retirement plans.

You will partner with HR leadership, carriers, and vendors to resolve issues, manage enrollments and life events, and ensure compliance with plan documents and regulations while safeguarding confidential information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years of benefits administration or HR experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Experience supporting multi-state benefits and leaves preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Administer teammate benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, and retirement.
• Manage enrollments, changes, qualifying life events, and terminations.
• Serve as primary benefits contact for teammates and HR leadership.
• Coordinate with carriers, brokers, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate benefit records in HRIS and benefits systems.
• Support open enrollment activities and benefits communications.
• Review deductions and payroll information for accuracy.
• Ensure eligibility and compliance with plan documents and laws.
• Assist with benefits reporting and audits.
• Maintain confidentiality of benefits data.
