Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Provider to deliver psychiatric evaluations, stabilization, and treatment within our Emergency Department and Psychiatric Observation Unit. This hybrid role combines in-person and virtual care to support patients with acute and chronic mental health and substance use disorders.

Qualifications

• NP: NC license, PMHNP-BC certification, DEA license, AHA BLS.
• PA: NC license, NCCPA certification, DEA license, AHA BLS.
• 1+ year psychiatry/behavioral health experience preferred.
• Experience in ED/observation unit or high-acuity settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations (in-person and virtual).
• Manage medications and treatment plans for acute conditions.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists and ED teams.
• Support timely dispositions and safe transitions of care.
