Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Battery Assistant Chief Engineer (ACE) to own assigned battery programs and drive technical objectives, requirements and deliverables.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams across vehicle, powertrain, manufacturing and EE systems; approving system-level docs, validating tests, and coordinating design reviews, supplier chats, and cost-reduction initiatives to meet timing and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of technical work experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a DSE role/lead engineer or similar experience.
• Knowledge of DFMEA and DVP&R development and execution.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, self-starter, and strong independent leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Owns battery system requirements, testing and validation plans.
• Leads cross-functional teams and reviews with action items.
• Coordinates supplier technical reviews and DVP&R sign-offs.
• Leads design reviews and action-item closure for prototype parts.
• Supports manufacturing to ensure designs are robust and manufacturable.
• Drives continuous improvement, cost reductions, and plant launches.
