Job summary

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs is seeking a Basic Needs Coordinator in the Office of the Dean of Students. This role supports student success by coordinating food, housing, and financial‑stability resources and by linking students to campus and community services.

You will oversee Clyde's Cupboard and related initiatives, supervise graduate assistants, and help assess needs, track outcomes, and improve access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Higher Education, Counseling, Psychology, Public Health, Student Affairs, or related field required.
• Experience coordinating basic needs resources, student support services, or crisis response preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in a higher education environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Basic Needs Program to assist students with food insecurity, housing instability, and financial hardship.
• Meet with students to assess needs, provide resource navigation, and assist with applications for public benefits.
• Maintain knowledge of campus, state, and federal resources for timely referrals.
• Coordinate and oversee Clyde's Cupboard and related basic needs initiatives.
• Monitor participation and assess trends for program improvements.
• Maintain confidential student records in line with university policies.
