Job summary

First Citizens Bank offers a summer internship program focused on data automation and general ledger reconciliation. The role is hybrid, with time split between a company office and other locations, providing development opportunities and hands-on work experience.

Interns will engage in projects within the Data Automation Team, contributing to automation efforts, research, analytics, and process improvements, while presenting outcomes to leadership at the end of the program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution during the time of the program.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing systems and processes used to reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist in automation initiatives within accounting to streamline data automation opportunities.
• Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects.
• Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking and community service events.
• Have a dedicated manager and program manager to navigate the bank and internship program.
• Be assigned a project to improve a specific process or solve a problem and present it at the internship's end.
• Prepare a wrap-up presentation to share accomplishments with division leadership.
