Job summary

First Citizens Bank offers a hybrid summer internship program through the Data Automation Team to develop skills in general ledger reconciliation and automation. You will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to ongoing projects in a corporate environment.

Interns work 40 hours per week, attend development sessions, and design a project to present at internship close. Ideal for rising juniors or seniors studying Business Systems or Accounting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; enrolled at an accredited college during program.
• Strong Excel, Access, and SQL skills to support GL reconciliation and automation efforts.
• Experience with data analysis, accounting processes, or related coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing systems and processes used to reconcile general ledger accounts across the bank.
• Assist in automation initiatives within accounting to streamline data automation opportunities.
• Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects.
• Perform research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, and technology enhancements and support.
