Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks a Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain event-driven microservices in Java/Spring Boot. You will implement RESTful and event-driven APIs, collaborate with pricing and underwriting teams, and help modernize a monolithic platform into scalable microservices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of Backend Engineering experience.
• Experience in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban or XP).
• Proficient in Java/J2EE and Spring Boot; REST/microservices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain event-driven microservices in Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop RESTful and event-driven APIs that integrate with platform components.
• Collaborate with product owners and domain experts to translate requirements into designs.
