Job summary

1872 Consulting is seeking an Azure Security Engineer focused on Azure security, DevSecOps, IAM, and encryption. The role is based in Chicago with hybrid work—3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

You will design, implement, and support security initiatives across our Azure ecosystem and collaborate with GRC on audits and cloud security programs. You will drive secure DevSecOps pipelines, manage identity and access, and ensure encryption and secure API practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Security Engineering.
• Strong Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Azure AD, Application Gateway, and API Management proficiency.
• Experience designing secure DevSecOps pipelines and IAM controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support secure Azure environments per best practices.
• Build and maintain DevSecOps pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Enforce IAM controls, encryption, and secure API management.
• Monitor security posture and respond to incidents in Azure.
• Collaborate with GRC for audits and cloud security initiatives.
• Stay current on Azure security threats and best practices.
