Job summary

SCAN Group is seeking an Information Security Engineer to safeguard digital assets across Azure, Windows, and M365 hybrid environments. You will monitor security operations, triage incidents, and implement Defender XDR and related Microsoft security solutions.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, incident response, and strong IAM/Zero Trust expertise for a robust security posture. This position offers a hybrid work model within the United States healthcare sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, IT or related field.
• Experience with HIPAA security and HITRUST is preferred.
• 3+ years of Information Security or Cyber Security experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support security operations across Microsoft 365 and cloud tenants, ensuring consistent controls, visibility, and compliance.
• Perform continuous monitoring, investigation, and triage of security events, alerts, and incidents from the SOC.
• Utilize Microsoft security technologies including Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, Sentinel, Entra ID, and related tools.
• Assist with implementation, configuration, and maintenance of security controls protecting Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoints, identities, and cloud services.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, networking, and application teams to strengthen security posture and reduce risk.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities as required.
• Analyze threats, IOCS, and security incidents per IR procedures.
• Monitor and investigate events through Expel MDR and related platforms.
• Strong IAM, Conditional Access, least privilege roles, Zero Trust expertise.
• Familiarity with next-gen firewalls and Prisma Access.
