Job summary

Popular is seeking a Software Engineer to join our hybrid team in Rosemont, IL. You will participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, building and migrating applications to AWS with serverless patterns, API gateways, and DynamoDB. Strong skills in C# and Python, RESTful APIs, CI/CD and AWS services are required.

You will collaborate across teams to analyze requirements, design data models, and implement secure, scalable solutions for production systems hosted on AWS.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
5+ years experience in a senior role or leading projects.
Master’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle for business apps and production systems on AWS.
Analyze requirements and define technical solutions with end-users.
Design system elements, data models and interfaces across modules and systems.
Develop and migrate on-prem apps to AWS, including serverless patterns and APIs.
Implement secure coding practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Build and maintain large-scale, enterprise-class applications with .NET and Python.
