Job summary
Vantage Risk Ltd. seeks an AVP, Data Engineer to ingest and transform replicated source data into consumable data products for the Reporting team and downstream users.
The role emphasizes data modeling, pipeline development, and scalable data platforms in a hybrid setup with a preference for New York or Chicago offices. The position offers a base salary range of $175,000 to $210,000, plus performance-based bonus potential, comprehensive health and welfare benefits, a company match retirement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Translate requirements and data mapping documents into a technical design.
- SQL development using dbt.
- Pipeline development using dagster.
- Talent for identifying the specific records that are produced from SQL bugs.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues found during testing or production.
- Communicate project status, issues, and blockers with the team.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and addressing opportunities.
