Feeding Tampa Bay is seeking an AV & Events Technology Specialist I to join our mission-driven team. The role focuses on managing AV systems for events and serving as the technical backbone for our spaces, with additional IT support during quieter periods.

The position requires flexibility for evenings and weekends, hands-on AV setup, and collaboration with the IT team to ensure smooth event operations and daily tech tasks.

Qualifications

• Excel working in a fast-paced environment and commitment to equity and respect.
• Bachelor’s degree or related certifications are preferred.
• Experience with AV control systems (e.g., Crestron) and familiarity with audio/video/streaming/hybrid-meeting tech.
• Curiosity about new tools and a track record of introducing improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Feeding Tampa Bay's AV systems in conference rooms and event spaces.
• Serve as primary on-site AV and technical lead for internal and external events, including setup and breakdown.
• Support run-of-show from AV and IT perspectives, including cueing and live operation.
• Research, test, and recommend new AV hardware and software within budget/time constraints.
• Provide Tier 1/2 IT support during event downtime; assist core IT team with daily tasks.
• Maintain AV inventory, create setup guides, and train staff on equipment.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
