Job summary

Peckham Industries Inc. is seeking a Hybrid Automation & Field IT Technician to support the reliability of quarry, asphalt, and precast operations.

The role combines industrial automation and IT help desk work, with a 50/50 split between plant automation and user technology support. Responsibilities include maintaining SCADA/PLC systems, deploying instrumentation and plant IT, troubleshooting networks, and providing on-site and remote assistance.

Qualifications

Background in industrial automation or electrical field.
Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
Willingness to travel up to 80% to NH and northern VT.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Legal right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Maintain, modify, upgrade, and repair SCADA systems, PLC control systems, instrumentation, and plant IT infrastructure.
Install, program, and calibrate instrumentation, scales, VFDs, and PLCs; deploy and configure workstations, tablets, printers, and plant devices.
Troubleshoot industrial automation equipment, plant networks, sensors, control circuits, and end-user hardware/software issues.
Maintain structured cabling, switches, and wireless access points at plant sites.
Perform startup and commission of new control systems and IT deployments.
Provide in-house and field technical support of PLC based systems; support Windows OS and plant applications.
