Job summary

CDM Smith in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina is seeking an instrumentation and controls engineer to design and support PLC, HMI, and related systems on challenging engineering projects. You will work with 3D/4D design practices, create PIDs, and assist with testing and startup of control systems.

Qualifications

• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Responsibilities

• Creates basic to moderately complex instrumentation and control system designs using 3D and 4D design practices.
• Reviews basic to highly complex component level shop drawings and contractor clarifications; assist with testing oversight.
• Develops PIDs, control system architectures, specifications, and control descriptions for use in programming.
