Job summary

AutoNation is seeking an Automotive Technician for a hybrid role performing in-shop repairs and mobile service at customer locations. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to meet safety and quality standards, with factory training and OEM certification support provided.

Responsibilities include evaluating job scope on-site or at a partner facility, accurately documenting work, and delivering outstanding customer service while adhering to DOT/FMCSA requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of recent professional automotive repair experience.
• ASE certifications and/or technical school education preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• Valid in-state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
• English proficiency required; Spanish is a plus.
• Must meet all DOT/FMCSA requirements, including a physical and medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance following dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and assess vehicles in shop and field settings to determine repair solutions.
• Complete multi-point inspections and document work performed.
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs.
