Job summary

KingRecruitingServices in Chicago North Suburbs is seeking an Audit Supervisor to lead client engagements from planning through completion. The role focuses on employee benefit plan audits and privately held clients, offering exposure to diverse industries and direct interaction with firm leadership.

You will supervise staff, develop engagement plans, and communicate with Managers and Partners, with a hybrid work environment and strong advancement opportunities in a respected public accounting

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of public accounting experience in audit.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• Employee Benefit Plan audit experience desirable.
• Strong staff supervision ability.
• Excellent client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee benefit plan audits from planning to completion.
• Supervise and develop staff accountants.
• Develop engagement plans, budgets, schedules, staffing.
• Monitor progress and communicate with Managers and Partners.
• Serve as primary client contact.
• Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and work papers.
• Analyze complex transactions and identify issues.
• Manage engagement economics including billing.
• Prepare Form 990 and business tax returns.
