Job summary

NextGear Capital, a Cox Automotive company, seeks an Audit Senior Analyst to lead assurance engagements from planning through final reporting. You will develop audit plans and testing strategies, assess internal controls, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify efficiency gains and risk mitigations.

Requires a Bachelor’s in accounting with 4+ years in public accounting or internal audit. CPA/CIA/CMA preferred; proficient in MS Office and data analytics; hybrid work arrangement in the USA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, auditing, or related field with 4+ years of experience.
• Professional certifications (CPA, CIA, CMA) preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Some level of experience in Data Analytics and AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or perform assurance engagements from planning through reporting, with minor oversight.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
• Perform audits to ensure compliance with policies and controls.
• Analyze testing results and identify business risks; suggest process improvements.
• Draft and review documentation for testing, observations, and recommendations.
• Assist in coordinating with external auditors and review reports for accuracy.
• Apply advanced thinking to adapt audit programs to changing environments.
• Prepare presentations and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and leadership.
• Develop project charters, plans, reports, and presentations.
• Build relationships to understand processes and risks; manage multiple audits simultaneously.
