Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate (Level 1) Supply Chain Procurement Specialist in Plymouth, MN on a hybrid schedule. The role sources and procures specialized goods, analyzes supplier pricing, and collaborates with internal customers to ensure compliant specifications.

You'll drive cost reduction, manage purchase orders, and support logistics and supplier performance using Lean Six Sigma tools. The position requires a bachelor's in a related field and knowledge of FAR/DFAR; U.S.

Qualifications

• Understanding of procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Possess ability to collaborate with program management and other multi-functional teams.
• Have general understanding & knowledge of FAR/DFAR and associated Federal Contracting regulations.
• Demonstrate ability to multi-task and make decisions in a timely manner.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sources and procures specialized goods and services from multiple suppliers.
• Initiates RFQs/Proposals and analyzes proposed pricing.
• Evaluates supplier quality and reliability and delivery schedules.
• Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate.
• Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through negotiations.
• Issues purchase orders and manages their performance.
