Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Iowa or South Dakota Pharmacy license required within 6 months.
• 2+ years in retail pharmacy operations with diverse experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of pharmacy programs to promote quality and cost effective drug use.
• Support drug utilization reviews and formulary management.
• Coordinate with clinicians to communicate therapeutic class reviews and monograph information.
• Research medications to support prior authorization criteria and determine medical necessity.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians and physicians to meet program goals.
• Provide clinical resources and support for their teams on regulatory and clinical guidelines.
• Identify ideas to improve quality, efficiency and outcomes of pharmacy services.
