Wellmark, Inc. is seeking an Associate Clinical Pharmacist in Des Moines, IA. This role blends pharmacy expertise with analytics to evaluate opportunities focused on quality, affordability, and member outcomes.

You will help develop formularies, perform drug utilization analyses, and support evidence-based decision making. You\'ll collaborate with Business Analytics, Actuarial, and Health Services teams to assess clinical and financial value and drive measurable results.

Formación

• Requires 2+ years of retail pharmacy operations experience.
• Pharmacist license in IA or SD (active/unrestricted) within 6 months of hire.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to summarize clinical literature.
• Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in developing and implementing pharmacy programs to promote quality and cost‑effective drug use.
• Provide clinical consulting and help develop formularies; perform drug utilization analyses.
• Support DUR and formulary/non-formulary management and present reviews to committees.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and physicians to meet program goals.
• Prepare information for network physicians and process prior authorization requests.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
