US Foods is seeking an Associate Category Manager to drive category performance through detailed analysis of assortment, pricing changes, and forecasting. The role focuses on new product reviews, vendor negotiations, and pricing work within the assigned category.

The position is hybrid, with 3 days onsite in Rosemont, IL and 2 days remote. You will collaborate across regions to align strategy and deliver measurable results.

Qualificações

• 3 years of Category Management or related experience in retail, food service or consumer goods.
• Experience in vendor relations, pricing and management of product assortment.
• Ability to operate in a matrix environment and across multiple groups and levels.
• Solid quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to work in a team setting.
• Knowledge of products within assigned category and division sales requirements.
• Ability to provide fact-based recommendations across various levels of management.
• High motivation, ability to prioritize and self-direct, strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and provide detailed analysis of category performance including growth objectives; track performance against metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships, lead product reviews, negotiate promotions with vendors.
• Review vendor performance reports and provide recommendations to Category Manager.
• Conduct product assortment analysis, identifying top-performing SKUs by division and region; propose changes.
• Review pricing reports; analyze impact of pricing and assortment changes; support category communications.
