Job summary

Belk, Inc. & Belk eCommerce LLC. is seeking an Associate Buyer to drive merchandise strategy and assortments for a defined business area, collaborating with Buyers and Planners to meet sales, margin, and turn targets.

The Associate Buyer will purchase and negotiate merchandise, support the open-to-buy process, and partner with planners to analyze trends and opportunities. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, with 1–3 years in retail buying.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute merchandise strategies and assortments to meet financial goals.
• Collaborate with Buyer and Planner on merchandise financial plans and by-door plans.
• Negotiate with vendors to obtain best costs and delivery terms.
• Manage open-to-buy process and monitor inventory and turn.
• Build and maintain partnerships with stores, vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Travel to markets and store trips as needed.
