Job summary

Ridgemont Resources, Inc. seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Employment Litigation group in Jacksonville. This hybrid role offers sophisticated employment disputes, client interaction, and growth within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Candidates should have a JD from an accredited law school, Florida Bar admission, 4–7 years of employment litigation experience, strong writing and deposition skills, with experience in state and federal courts and arbitration.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Florida Bar admission, in good standing.
• 4–7 years of substantive employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling employment disputes including claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour matters.
• Strong drafting, motions, discovery requests and responses, and related litigation documents.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Experience appearing in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitration.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Conduct witness interviews, legal research, and case analysis.
• Take and defend depositions and assist with trial and hearing preparation.
• Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace risk management issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's labor and employment practice on complex matters.
• Manage case files and litigation deadlines from inception through resolution.
