Job summary

OOFOS is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the accounting function, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive financial reporting improvements. You will supervise staff, partner with cross-functional teams, and play a key role in audits while optimizing ERP processes.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting background, attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid role based in Braintree, MA with some on-site work requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, management or a related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes per GAAP.
• Own the balance sheet reconciliation process and drive timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Support the Controller in preparing consolidated financial reports and management presentations.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities: GL, AP, AR, and inventory.
• Ensure tax filings comply with local, state and federal requirements.
• Lead and complete special projects as assigned by Controller or CFO.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff; act as Controller’s right hand.
