Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in merchandise buying and/or planning.
• 2+ years of experience analyzing data and strategizing changes to increase performance.
• Experience working in a high-volume sales category with high SKU count, seasonality, and revenue.
• Strong business acumen and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication when collaborating with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of customer needs, wants, and expectations.
• Create an execution strategy by analyzing market and seasonal merchandise in each category.
• Collaborate with buying, planning, and inventory teams pre-season to improve allocation depth and in-season execution.
• Participate in vendor negotiations of exclusive offerings, terms, pricing, markdowns, and dropship programs.
• Act as a liaison to store and e-commerce partners to communicate selling strategy and agenda.
• Participate in business reviews to drive better decision-making for department performance.
