Job summary

The Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services (DPHHS) in Kalispell is seeking an Adult Protective Services Investigator to conduct investigations of adult abuse, neglect, and exploitation and to develop service plans for adults at risk. Responsibilities include making community referrals, reporting interventions, preparing case records, and coordinating with families and service providers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of adult abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
• Knowledge of family systems and social work practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Two years of related work experience in social services.
• Must complete National Adult Protective Services Core Competency Certificate Program.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; related fields considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations of adult abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
• Develop service plans for adults at risk.
