Job summary

Department of Health and Senior Services in Missouri seeks an Adult Protective Services Specialist to investigate abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable adults. You will conduct home visits, interview victims and caregivers, and coordinate protective interventions.

The role requires travel within the local multi-county area and participation in an on-call rotation. Mileage reimbursement is provided as a benefit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field is required.
• Four or more years of protective services experience preferred.
• Experience in home-based interventions and case management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of elderly (60+) and disabled (18+).
• Conduct home visits to observe living conditions and interview victims and caregivers.
• Coordinate interventions and assess ongoing protective services needs.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with the team for timely support.
• Travel within the local multi-county area; mileage reimbursement provided.
