Job summary

Ground Water Treatment Wharton, NJ is seeking an Application & Process Engineer for wastewater remediation. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of solution design and system commissioning.

You will lead front-end engineering, size equipment, prepare P&IDs, and drive field startups, while ensuring safety and compliance with NJDEP/ NYDEC.

Ideal candidates have 4–7 years in water/wastewater, CAD skills, and strong communication to support sales and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• 4–7 years of combined experience in water/wastewater process engineering, technical sales support, cost estimation, or field commissioning.
• Hands-on experience drafting and reviewing P&IDs and mechanical layouts; AutoCAD proficiency.
• Familiarity with regional environmental standards (e.g., NYDEC, NJDEP) is highly preferred.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification or willingness to obtain; valid driver's license; travel 15–30%.

Responsibilities

• Architect custom solutions from raw water data, client RFPs, and technical specs.
• Size and value engineer core equipment to build precise cost estimates.
• Lead client visits and present tailored engineering solutions.
• Mobilize, startup, and commission water treatment systems onsite.
• Ensure designs comply with environmental standards and safety codes.
