Job summary

ADP, Inc. Wharton, NJ seeks an Application & Process Engineer for wastewater remediation. You’ll bridge client solution design and field commissioning, turning data and specs into robust treatment schemes while leading technical discussions with prospects.

You’ll draft P&IDs, lead system start-ups, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with NJDEP/NYSDEC. The role requires 4–7 years of relevant experience, a PE/FE, and willingness to travel 15–30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• 4–7 years of combined experience in water/wastewater process engineering, technical sales support, cost estimation, or field commissioning.
• Deep understanding of physical/chemical water treatment processes, fluid dynamics, and mass balance.

Responsibilities

• Architect Custom Solutions: turn data, RFPs, and specs into robust process designs and treatment schemes.
• Size & Value Engineer: select and size core equipment to build precise cost estimates.
• Lead client visits and guide clients through complex technical decisions.
• Mobilize, startup, and commission water treatment systems onsite.
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance to meet discharge targets.
• Ensure designs comply with NJDEP/NYDEC safety standards.
