Job summary

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking an Application Engineer for a hybrid role based in Highland, IL or Syracuse, NY. You will deliver product application and technical support to customers, service and sales, and train teams on products and applications.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with marketing and engineering to drive solutions and customer success. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Engineering, bring strong communication, listening, and collaboration skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Must be within 50-mile radius of Highland IL or Syracuse NY; no relocation benefit.
• Sponsorship for immigration is not offered.
• Preferred: SAP/Business Warehouse knowledge.
• Preferred: 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Preferred: Bluebeam software knowledge.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection equipment.
• Manufacturing/production environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides product application and technical assistance to customers, service and sales on core products.
• Creates and conducts training on products and applications for sales and customers.
• Participates on cross-functional teams including marketing and custom solutions.
• Develops understanding of customers’ operations and applications.
• Uses knowledge of production processes, product testing, and industry standards for applications.
• Supports product line managers with cross-reference materials and documentation.
• Performs construction takeoffs based on customer requirements and industry standards.
