Job summary

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is seeking an Application Engineer hybrid role, Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm at Highland IL or Syracuse NY. You will provide product application and technical assistance for the B-Line division, interact with customers and the sales force, and collaborate with marketing, sales and engineering.

The role emphasizes fast-paced problem solving, strong listening, and a proactive, entrepreneurial approach to grow technically and professionally.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
2+ years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge of SAP/Business Warehouse and Bluebeam software.

Responsibilities

Provides product application and technical assistance to customers, customer service, and the sales force on a core group of products.
Creates and conducts sales force, customer service and customer training on products and applications.
Participates on cross functional teams including marketing communications and custom product solutions.
Develops an understanding of customers’ operations and applications.
Utilizes technical knowledge of production processes, product testing, and industry standards and reviews changes/updates for effects to product applications.
Supports product line managers with creation of cross reference materials, presentation materials, application letters, and other documentation as needed.
Performs construction takeoffs based on customer specified requirements and industry standards.
