Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED meeting the education requirement from the College of American Pathologists for point of care lab testing.

Responsibilities

• Verify anesthesia supplies and equipment in the assigned rooms.
• Setup specialty equipment when requested.
• Prepares transducers for peripheral and central hemodynamic monitoring when requested.
• Prepares IVs when requested.
• Provide additional supplies and equipment as needed.
• Perform point of care lab tests.
• Operate Cell Saver when necessary.
• Assist anesthesia providers during codes.
• Clean and disinfect anesthesia equipment.
• Resupply anesthesia machine and cart as needed.
• Setup and run leak test on the anesthesia machine for the following case.
• Resupply medications as needed.
