Job summary

Williams is seeking an Environmental Specialist in Tulsa to lead end-to-end air permitting and regulatory approvals for power innovation projects. You will coordinate across technical, legal, and regulatory teams, develop permitting strategies, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

The role emphasizes risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, and preparing assets for handoff to operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field required.
• Minimum 4 years’ air permitting and compliance experience for Specialist III.
• Minimum 8 years’ air permitting and compliance experience for Specialist IV.
• Minimum 15 years’ air permitting and compliance experience for Specialist V.

Responsibilities

• Lead air permitting analysis and application development for natural gas fired power generation.
• Evaluate feasibility and permitting pathways across multiple states.
• Assess permitting risks and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
• Shape permit conditions and compliance strategies with operations.
• Maintain and improve environmental processes and policies.
• Coordinate planning, scheduling and cost estimating for permitting activities.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and engage with industry groups.
• Lead projects with high risk and complexity and manage resources.
