Job summary

Williams is seeking a Permitting Manager to lead environmental permitting for the Power Innovation portfolio, including gas-fired generation, battery storage, pipelines, and site development. You will mentor a team of professionals, establish permitting strategy, and coordinate with across functions to advance compliant projects on accelerated timelines.

This role requires a strong background in environmental permitting, regulatory affairs, and stakeholder engagement, with at least eight years

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Minimum eight years’ experience in energy, infrastructure, environmental permitting, land development, or related project execution.
  • Minimum five years’ supervisory or project leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Establish permitting processes, playbooks, and records for Power Innovation projects from screening to operation.
  • Coordinate work plans, schedules, and procedures to align permitting with multiple teams and commitments.
  • Lead training, due diligence, and risk reviews for permitting and compliance activities.
  • Represent permitting priorities in forums and communicate risks and mitigation options clearly.
  • Develop and manage KPIs, milestones, and compliance tracking with cross‑functional partners.
